VIVID THOUGHTS II

I lifted my face and saw that smile again
But suddenly it's gone
As I touch your lips, you're gone
It was a dream
Just when I lay myself down.

I dream of you every now and then
And mesmerized by the thoughts
Of me with you or you with me.

I lay myself down
In bed of many summers gone
It sets my heart ablaze
Enshrouds my whole with longing.

I am vulnerable to illusions
Feeling myself among your forested cradle
Nestled deep in your heart
In your womb to dream
Forever.
